1. BEGINNING NEXT WEEK on Tuesday (1/19) ALL STUDENTS will be REQUIRED to PARK BEHIND the SCHOOL BUILDING EXCEPT for those students who ARRIVE LATE DUE to BEING INVOLVED in the PSEO PROGRAM.

 2.   CONGRATULATIONS to the JANUARY FALCON PRIDE STUDENTS who are being HONORED for their positive behavior and citizenship:  Brooke Dunlap, Camron VanHoose, Sidney Waibel, Cheyenne Masters, Allison Hillman, Alexis Wilkins, Trace Smail and Taylor Graham. 

 3.   CHECK the LOST and FOUND in the MAIN OFFICE for lost keys, clothing, books, lunch boxes and other items.

 4.   If you are NOT SURE about your 2ND SEMESTER CLASSES, you need to SIGN UP in the GUIDANCE OFFICE for a COPY of your SCHEDULE.  MAKE PLANS AHEAD!!!  DON’T WAIT until the 1st DAY of 2ND SEMESTER which is NEXT WEEK on Wednesday, January 20.  If you SIGN UP for a SCHEDULE, you NEED to STOP by the GUIDANCE OFFICE to PICK UP the COPY of your SCHEDULE, they WILL NOT be DELIVERED to you.

 5.   ANYONE interested in PLAYING in a 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT needs to GET YOUR TEAMS TOGETHER TO COMPETE and PICK UP a ROSTER FORM and RULES in Mrs. Jarzab’s ROOM (C102).  COMPLETED FORMS are DUE by LUNCH TIME on Thursday, January 28.  The TOURNAMENT will be HELD that EVENING, Thursday, January 28, STARTING at 6:15. 

 6.   The Dairy Queen in Urbana is currently interviewing applicants.  For more information, stop by the guidance office.

 7.   ALL LIBRARY BOOKS checked out BEFORE Christmas are NOW DUE.  You need to RETURN or RENEW checked out BOOKS.

 8.   The following SCHOLARSHIPS are AVAILABLE in the GUIDANCE OFFICE:  The Minority Journalism Scholarship, the William Squires Scholarship and the ACME Baseball Congress Scholarship.

 9.   SEMESTER COURSE EXAMS SCHEDULE:  NEXT WEEK on Tuesday (1/19) will be SEMESTER COURSE EXAMS for PERIODS 2,4,6 & 8.  This day will OPERATE on an ADJUSTED BLOCK SCHEDULE with NO FLIGHT TIME.  2ND SEMESTER and 3rd NINE-WEEKS will NOW BEGIN NEXT WEEK on Wednesday (1/20).  NEXT WEEK:  Wednesday (1/20) and Thursday (1/21) will be NORMAL SCHOOL DAYS, there will NOT BE BLOCK SCHEDULE those days.

10. The GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT will be HOSTING its ANNUAL COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION NIGHT NEXT WEEK on Thursday (1/21) EVENING at 7:00 in the HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA.  Edison Community College will be presenting information regarding the various types of financial aid and tips for completing the FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA).  This event is helpful for those going through the college financial aid process for the first time.  CONTACT the GUIDANCE OFFICE with QUESTIONS.
