1.   FCCLA with Paw Protectors will be HOLDING an “OLD T-SHIRT DRIVE”.  BRING IN all the old t-shirts you have stuffed in the back of your closets to Mrs. Jarzab’s ROOM BY FRIDAY (2/26).  The shirts will be made into dog toys and donated to Barely Used Pets in Urbana.  Let’s give these dogs something to love!  

2.   CONGRATULATIONS to the WRESTLING TEAM for WINNING the SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT.  All of the WRESTLERS have ADVANCED to the DISTRICT TOURNAMENT FRIDAY (2/26) and SATURDAY (2/27) at Wilmington.

3.   The “COLOR OF THE DAY” in SUPPORT of HEALTHY LIVING is RED.  Red foods are high in potassium, antioxidants and vitamins A, C and K.   

4.   This year GYAA will be OFFERING NEW OPPORTUNITIES in BOTH their BASEBALL and SOFTBALL SUMMER LEAGUES.  The PREVIOUS AGE CAP had been 14 years old.  They have EXPANDED the AGE GROUP to INCLUDE 13 year olds through 17 year olds.  More INFORMATION and REGISTRATION opportunities can be FOUND on their website – www.grahamyaa.org.  The FINAL DAY for REGISTRATION is NEXT WEEK Saturday, March 5.     

5.   The ASVAB (Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery) Assessment will be GIVEN NEXT WEEK Tuesday MORNING, March 1, at 7:45 in the MEDIA CENTER.  The assessment will last approximately 3 hours.  ANY SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR or SENIOR that would like to PARTICIPATE needs to SIGN UP in the GUIDANCE OFFICE.

6.   CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS will be HELD the WEEK of March 7-11.  PICK UP an INFORMATION PACKET in Mrs. Compton’s OFFICE.

7.   ATTENTION SENIORS:  The YEARBOOK STAFF NEEDS your SENIOR PICTURE and a BABY PICTURE ASAP!!  REMEMBER to put your NAME on the BACK of your PICTURES and GIVE your PICTURES to Mrs. Merritt or a YEARBOOK STAFF MEMBER.

8.   The GRAHAM ELEMENTARY PTO SCHOLARSHIP is AVAILABLE in the GUIDANCE OFFICE.

9.   There will be a PROM COMMITTEE MEETING THURSDAY (2/25) IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL in Miss Schafer’s ROOM.      

10. Mr. Bowsher’s PERIODS 1, 2, 3, and 4 PE CLASSES need to REPORT to the CAFETERIA STUDY HALL TODAY (2/23).

11. ANYONE INTERESTED in PLAYING a SPRING SPORT MUST ATTEND the OHSAA MANDATORY PARENT/PLAYER MEETING TOMORROW (2/24) EVENING at 7:00 in the MIDDLE SCHOOL AUDITERIA.
