1.   There will be SOFTBALL OPEN GYMS for ALL HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS EVERY SUNDAY during the MONTH of FEBRUARY in the AUX GYM from 2:30 to 4:30.

 2.   The following SCHOLARSHIPS are AVAILABLE in the GUIDANCE OFFICE:  The Graham OAPSE #260 Local Scholarship and the Beth Brown Memorial Scholarship.

 3.   ATTENTION ALL SINGERS, DANCERS and ACTORS:  LAST Wednesday’s (2/10) AUDITIONS for the SPRING MUSICAL “FOOTLOOSE” will be HELD TOMORROW (2/17) at the SAME TIMES.  SEE Mrs. Trenor with QUESTIONS!

4.   SOFTBALL TRYOUTS/PRACTICES will START NEXT WEEK on MONDAY (2/22) AFTER SCHOOL from 4:00 to 6:00 in the AUX GYM.  PLAYERS need to have their PHYSICALS TURNED IN to the ATHLETIC OFFICE BEFORE NEXT WEEK on Monday (2/22).         

5.   JOIN the HEALTHY LIVING CLASSES and SUPPORT HEALTHY LIVING at GHS!  PARTICIPATE and WEAR the “COLOR OF THE DAY”.  TOMORROW (2/17) is GREEN, THURSDAY (2/18) is ORANGE and FRIDAY (2/19) is BROWN.  NEXT WEEK Monday (2/22) is YELLOW and Tuesday (2/23) is RED.  LISTEN EACH DAY to see how each color’s foods benefit your body.  Anyone who dresses up can be part of the large group PHOTO that will be taken EACH DAY in the MAIN GYM DURING LUNCH PERIODS.

6.   DON’T FORGET the NEXT SMD BLOOD DRIVE will be HELD Friday, March 4.  FORMS are AVAILABLE from Miss Heitman and are DUE FRIDAY (2/19).

7.   CHECK the LOST and FOUND in the MAIN OFFICE for MISSING ITEMS!!!  There are school and library books, agendas, clothing, jewelry, lunch boxes, a retainer and other misc. items.

8.   FUN FOOD FACTS:  TODAY’S (2/16) COLOR is WHITE.  WHITE FOODS are high in iron, sodium, selenium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and vitamins B1, B3, B5, B6 C, D and E.  They can also boost your digestive health.    

9.   The ASVAB (Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery) Assessment will be GIVEN Tuesday MORNING, March 1, at 7:45 in the MEDIA CENTER.  The assessment will last approximately 3 hours.  ANY SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR or SENIOR that would like to PARTICIPATE needs to SIGN UP in the GUIDANCE OFFICE.

10. There is INFORMATION in the GUIDANCE OFFICE REGARDING a SUMMER JOB at Bruns Construction Enterprises.

11. CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS will be HELD the WEEK of March 7-11.  PICK UP and INFORMATION PACKET in Mrs. Compton’s OFFICE.

12. ATTENTION SENIORS:  The YEARBOOK STAFF NEEDS your SENIOR PICTURE and a BABY PICTURE ASAP!!  REMEMBER to put your NAME on the BACK of your PICTURES and GIVE your PICTURES to Mrs. Merritt or a YEARBOOK STAFF MEMBER.

13. There will be a MANDATORY MEETING in the AUX GYM TOMORROW (2/17) DURING FLIGHT TIME for ANY BOY or GIRL INTERESTED in RUNNING TRACK this SPRING.  If you are THINKING about running track, you need to ATTEND this MEETING.
