1.   There will be SOFTBALL OPEN GYMS for ALL HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS EVERY SUNDAY during the MONTH of FEBRUARY in the AUXGYM from 2:30 to 4:30.

 2.   The following SCHOLARSHIPS are AVAILABLE in the GUIDANCE OFFICE:  The Graham Community Foundation Grant, the Graham Community Foundation Scholarship, the Marvin Brecount Scholar Loan, the Randy Eastman Memorial Scholarship, the Graham OAPSE #260 Local Scholarship and the Beth Brown Memorial Scholarship.

 3.   ATTENTION ALL SINGERS, DANCERS and ACTORS:  AUDITIONS for the SPRING MUSICAL “FOOTLOOSE” will be HELD TODAY (2/12).  LAST WEDNESDAY’S (2/10) AUDITIONS that were NOT HELD DUE to SCHOOL BEING CLOSED, will be HELD NEXT WEEK on Wednesday (2/17) at the SAME TIMES.  SEE Mrs. Trenor with QUESTIONS!

4.   The Career Connections classes will be SELLING VALENTINE’S DAY SUCKERS for 50 CENTS EACH DURING LUNCH PERIODS TODAY (2/12) that can be PURCHASED for you, a friend or a teacher.  Tags will be provided for the sender to write a personalized message to the recipient.   ALL PROCEEDS will be DONATED to the Career Connections Christmas family NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.  Suckers and messages will be DELIVERED 8th period TODAY (2/12)

5.   SOFTBALL LIFTING and CONDITIONING will be HELD WEEKLY on MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS from 5:30 to 6:45 and on FRIDAYS from 4:30 to 5:30 in the WEIGHT ROOM.

6.   DON’T FORGET the NEXT SMD BLOOD DRIVE will be HELD Friday, March 4.  FORMS are AVAILABLE form Miss Heitman and are DUE NEXT WEEK on Friday (2/19).

7.   CHECK the LOST and FOUND in the MAIN OFFICE for MISSING ITEMS!!!  There are school and library books, agendas, clothing, jewelry, lunch boxes, a retainer and other misc. items.

8.   FUN FOOD FACTS:  Broccoli can make your risk for cardiovascular disease a lot lower, it has a lot more protein than steak and has it has a lot of nutrition.  If you find yourself low on energy, eat an apple.  Apples give you more energy than coffee.  An apple has the perfect amount of nutrients to help you stay energized all day.  Watermelon is 92% water and 100% healthy!  Watermelon’s key role is to keep you hydrated and contains all the nutrients to help you stay healthy and fit.

9.   The ASVAB (Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery) Assessment will be GIVEN Tuesday MORNING, March 1, at 7:45 in the MEDIA CENTER.  The assessment will last approximately 3 hours.  ANY SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR or SENIOR that would like to PARTICIPATE needs to SIGN UP in the GUIDANCE OFFICE.
